We have had 3 confirmed cases of Chicken Pox at one of our settings this week, and Hand Foot and Mouth at another. These are both very common childhood illnesses which can spread regardless of our extremely high standards of hygiene - usually passed on before any physical symptoms are observed. Please be vigilent in continuing our self-care skills at home; careful and frequent hand-washing, coughing and sneezing into tissues and disposing of them immediately.
Watch out for general 'under the weather' symptoms in children, as this is often when children are more susceptible. The above link to the NHS guidelines on when children are OK to attend nursery may be helpful in identifying symptoms and when children are ready to come back to nursery. Thank you!
