Our strong team of dedicated childcare professionals bring a wealth of experience in supporting children to meet their individual potential through a careful blend of adult led, child initiated and targetted approach to their learning.  



Kathy has worked with children almost all of her life. She has over 40 years experience working in Early Years. Kathy was originally and independent child-minder, but soon became so recognised for her commitment to children that she opened her first setting in 2008. Kathy's entire life is dedicated to making a difference to Early Years Education and experience. Kathy has four daughters of her own and 4 grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her Westie Lilly, and her toy poodle Squirrel.


Executive manager, SEN lead, NVQ Assessor

Jen has worked within the company for 14 years. She is the Executive Manager based at Little Oaks and and is Associate Manager at Acorns. Jen specialises in Child Psychology, and is our behaviour management specialist and SENCo across the three settings. Jen has two little girls, 12 and 10 and enjoys spending her free time with her dogs, Teddy the toy Poodle, Winston the Shar Pei and Dolly the French Bulldog!


Quality Lead

Elle returned to Acorns with her baby boy after working as an NVQ training assessor for several years. Elle is our staff training and development lead with an interest in Health and Safety and policies and procedures overseeing. Elle is super organised and methodical ensuring we are always on track and up to date with any new initiatives.


Manager, Little Oaks Pre-school

Laura joined the team at Little Oaks Pre-school in September 2017 as Assistant Manager. She has worked incredibly hard over the past year to maintain the settings OFSTED Outstanding standards, and quickly made a positive impact on the setting, bringing lots of new energy and ideas. In October 2018 Laura was promoted to Childcare Manager of the setting due to her commitment and dedication to the Pre-school and children who attend.


Little Oaks Office manager

Hannah joined the team in 2017 when we opened Little Oaks Fledglings as Office Manager. Hannah has a background in HR and supports our children and families as they enrol within the setting. Hannah has been a close friend of the company since 2006 when her eldest boy (now 14!) joined our very first little group of children. Outside of work, Hannah is our daredevil and enjoys challenging herself with charity fund-raising by crazy things like jumping out of aeroplanes!


Acorns Office Manager

Vicki joined the team at Acorns in 2018 to take charge of the Office/admin duties behind the scenes. Vicki is a mum of two with a background of working within building societies. Vicki is your go-to lady for anything to do with contracts/accounts at Acorns and also likes to help out in the kitchen when she fancies a break from the office!


Assistant Manager, SEN support worker

Jade joined the team in 2014 at our in-house training Academy. Jade has experience working at all three settings across all age groups. She is a very experienced Special Educational Needs support person having worked closely with children with a range of additional needs. In September 2017, she moved to Little Oaks Pre-school, and in October was promoted to Acting Manager due to her considerable dedication to the children and the company.


Childcare Practitioner, Little Oaks

Amanda has worked with us at Little Oaks since 2014, and is based in the Pre-school. Amanda is renowned within the setting for her yoga sessions, a firm favourite with the children, and has just completed her Forest School training. The children are thoroughly enjoying bringing so much wildlife and nature into their learning. In her free times Amanda enjoys exploring the outdoors with her partner and son climbing mountains!


Childcare Practitioner, Little Oaks

Leanne joined the team at Acorns in 2013. She has worked within the Toddler and Pre-school rooms over the last few years. In September 2018 she transferred over to Little Oaks Pre-school to be based within the Otters group where she is key person for her group. Leanne is our transition worker, and spends the afternoons with the older toddlers so that they have a really smooth transition when it's time to move up to the Pre-school. Outside of work Leanne enjoys spending time with her family and going to the cinema.


Childcare Practitioner, Little Oaks

Laura joined the Little Oaks team in 2014 as an Apprentice at our in-house training Academy. Laura has experience in working with all three age groups and since the opening of Little Oaks Fledglings, is currently based with our babies and younger toddlers.


Room Leader, Little Oaks

Amy has worked in childcare since 2007. She was previously Baby room leader at Acorns, until she had her son in 2017. When Amy returned to work, she came over to Little Oaks Fledglings part time bringing with her lots of ideas, experience and energy to the busy toddler group! In August 2019 she stepped back into her old shoes and became room leader of the Kingfishers group.


Baby & Toddler Block Manager, SEN Specialist

Danielle has worked at Little Oaks and Acorn Childcare for 8 years. She was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2012. Danielle is the settings Special Needs specialist, working particularly closely with children needing additional support and is currently in her last year of studies for her degree in Special Educational Needs. In April 2019, Danielle moved over to Little Oaks where she was promoted to Childcare Manager of the babies and toddlers block. Outside of work, Danielle likes spending time with her friends, boyfriend James and her two dogs, Cleo and Calais.


Acorns Pre-school, pastoral care Leader

Gemma joined Acorns in September 2013 and has had experience working with all three groups in Early Years. She is now working as Pre-school room leader full-time. Gemma's main goal is getting the children as school-ready as possible so that the children have the very best start in Reception. Gemma enjoys spending time with her family and spending her weekends going for long walks on the beach with her greyhound, Dusty.


Acorns Baby Room leader and Assistant Manager

Naomi joined the team at Acorns in 2017, after working for many years with babies in a Peterborough setting and a previous Pre-school leading role. Since March 2019, Naomi has been our Assistant Manager, developing her leadership skills. Naomi married in 2018 and spends her time outside of work with her new husband and puppy Freddie!


Childcare Practitioner, Acorns

Aleks joined the team at Little Oaks Pre-school in January 2018 after being recommended by one of our families. In September 2018 she moved to Acorns to work alongside Tiegan with the 2-3 year old's. Aleks works as our interpreter for our EAL families, on standby to support the children in each room who have English as an additional Language.


Room Leader, Acorns

Tiegan joined the team at Acorns in 2015 in the Badger (Pre-school) room as activity co-ordinator for the 3-5 year-old's. She currently leads the Rabbit (Toddler) group and is responsible for working alongside other agencies in compiling the 2-year learning and development checks. Tiegan has just brought her first home with her boyfriend and their little puppy Fergal!


Childcare Practitioner, Acorns

Sophie joined the team at Acorns in January this year. She mainly supports the children in the Pre-school rooms alongside Gemma, ensuring they are as ready for school as possible!


Childcare Assistant, Acorns

Molly joined the team at Acorns in 2016 when she achieved her Level 3 in Childcare. Molly works alongside Naomi to provide exciting learning opportunities and lots of fun for our smallest attenders. Outside of work Molly enjoys dancing and other sports like hockey and athletics!
